INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS
JOURNAL OF NATURAL PRODUCTS is dedicated for publishing research works related to natural/plant products.JNP is an OPEN ASSESS, ON-LINE, ANNUAL journal and all
published articles are freely available for researchers, private and government
agencies, educators and widest possible public readers.All papers published in JNP
are blind peer reviewed. All submitted papers are reviewed by Editor or members of
editorial board or outside reviewers. Reviewer's comments and/or reviewed MS will
be sent to corresponding author as email attachment. Final decision regarding
publication of paper will be made only by Chief Editor as soon as possible.
Types Of Contributions
|
The following types of publications may
be submitted:
(A) Reviews: Reviews will
generally be invited. Beside this,
submissions of reviews related to
interesting topics of natural/plant
products are welcome and encouraged.
They should report aspects and
developments in the field of medicinal
plant research or traditional medical
practice. They should concise as
possible and do not need to include
experimental details. The main purposes
of these reviews are to provide a
concise and accurate introduction to the
subject matter and inform the reader of
the latest developments in this area.
(B) Original Papers: Papers are
research articles describing original
experimental results and must be
covering JNP aim and scope.

Publication Language
|
Language of Publication is only ENGLISH. American English spelling and punctuation
is preferred.
|
Submission of Manuscripts
|
Electronic submission of manuscripts is strongly encouraged, provided that
the text, tables, and figures are included in a single Microsoft Word file as e-mail
attachment to the chief Editor at: sudhansh4@rediffmail.com
Submitted /attached MS file should be named corresponding author's surname MS.doc (i.e. Tiwari MS.doc).
A manuscript number will be mailed to the corresponding author same
day or within 72 hours after receipt of MS and covering letter.

Electronic submission also included a covering letter. Doc as attached file, which also named corresponding author's surname covering letter.doc (i.e. Tiwari covering letter.doc).
Attached COVERING LETTER should included:
- Certificate that "The submission
has not been previously published nor is it before another
journal for consideration; or an explanation has been
provided in Comments to the Editor".
- Name and address with email of 4 possible reviewers of same field
(JNP may designate other reviewers).

Submission of a manuscript implies that the work described has not been published
before (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a public lecture, review
or thesis); that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere; that its
publication has been approved by all co-authors, if any, as well as by the authorities
at the institute where the work has been carried out; that, if and when the manuscript
is accepted for publication, the authors agree to automatic transfer of the copyright
to the publisher; that the manuscript will not be published elsewhere in any language

condition will be charged with all costs, which Journal of Natural
Products incurs and their papers will not be published.

Organization of Manuscript
|
Manuscripts should be Single-spaced, font size 12 pt.(editors have right to adjust
style and format at any stage). Pages should be numbered consecutively including
title page and organized as follows:
The TITLE Page (p. 1) should contain the article title, authors' names and
one author should be identified as the Corresponding Author and should include his/her
full name, affiliation, postal address, telephone and fax number and email address
just below title. All other authors should provide full names, affiliations and
email addresses. The article title should be comprehensive and descriptive: proprietary
names must not be used in titles, but may be identified in footnotes.
Page 2 should contain an ABSTRACT. The abstract should be limited to 250
words but must contain a concise summary of what was done, the results obtained,
and valid conclusions, which are drawn there from. It must mention the compounds
or families of compounds studied, their actions, and the species of animals. It
must contain important words, which are used as index terms, but not proprietary
names.
KEYWORDS: 3 to 4 keywords should be listed immediately after the abstract.
INTRODUCTION: Do not use a section heading. Two or three paragraphs that
concentrate on the relevance of the study to physical, chemical, biological a
toxicology suffice for this section.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: Do not underline. Use italics for subheadings.
RESULTS: May use subheadings. Do not underline.
DISCUSSION: Do not use subheadings. Do not underline.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS: This should appear as a separate paragraph two spaces below
the last paragraph of the text. Acknowledgements should be limited to six lines.
REFERENCES: References are appeared in alphabetical order. All papers cited
in the text should be given in parentheses, e.g. (Child, 1941; Godwin and Cohen,
1969; MacWilliams, et al., 1990) except when the author is mentioned, e.g., ``and the
study of Hillman and Tasca (1989)''.
Reference as given at the end of the text under the first author's name, citing
all authors (Surnames followed by initials throughout; do not use ``and'') according
to the following examples:

reference by the same author(s) published in the same year are cited, use a, b,
TABLES: Type each table on a separate sheet of paper. Each table must be
numbered and should contain a brief title on the top. Every table must be referred
to in the text.
FIGURES: Draw illustrations with black ink on good quality tracing paper.
The originals or sharply focused glossy photographic prints should be submitted
upon request. Each figure should be numbered and referred to in the text. Provide
a separate sheet for figure captions. Sharp Laser printed figures are acceptable.
NOTE: The content, authenticity, validity, originality, data and experimental
accuracy of manuscript are the sole responsibility of the authors and publication
shall not imply the concurrence of the editors.

Proofs
|
Proofs will be sent to the corresponding author as PDF file. To avoid delay in publication,
only necessary changes should be made, and proofs should be returned promptly.

Reprints
|
Authors can download PDF file of their published paper from journals website.
|
Correction
|
If errors are detected in a published paper, than author should send a correction
letter to the editor in chief including their MS reference no., title and volume
number.
